Alaudine adj. Like a Skylark

To be a Skylark

“The very idea of a bird is a symbol and a suggestion to the poet. A bird seems to be at the top of the scale, so vehement and intense his life… The beautiful vagabonds, endowed with every grace, masters of all climes, and knowing no bounds – how many human aspirations are realized in their free, holiday-lives – and how many suggestions to the poet in their flight and song!”

– John Burroughs, Birds and Poets1887

The Positive Word of the Day, yesterday, was Alaudine which means “Skylark-like”. Wanting to do a mindful meditation about whatever word appeared I asked Chat GPT if birds sometimes sing for joy. There have been no definitive studies about this but they do sometimes sing right after they’ve discovered a new food resource.

Becoming alaudine requires imagining oneself to be a skylark. I’ve successfully flown with swallows before so , but in this case, I was a skylark standing on a tree branch facing outward to the world at large at the edge of an orchard. The orchard was filled with an abundance of cherry and peach trees because of a personal preference for them over the taste of caterpillars and bugs. I was a skylark that had just discovered this lavish and ample, fruitful, new food resource. Happy, abundant and appreciative beyond measure I was singing my praises into the sunlit moment for all of existence to hear.

This struck me as an emotionally healthy thought abundance-wise to cultivate, by sustaining it for a while, but confess that I was optimistic that it might yield more than food.

Today Vicki brought home, for lunch, a little 5-pack take-out package of delicious shrimp dumplings from the NEW Asian eatery at the mall a block away.

Life is good.

I’m well fed.

Thank-you!

Thaumatology

Sometimes, when I go jogging, I meditate on the uncommon Positive Word of the Day posted on my Positive Word Facebook Page.

Today that word was “Thaumatology – the study of miracles” which I combined with the thought of ‘Thaumaturgy‘; the creation of miracles, because if it’s not created it’s not there to be studied.

I also gave the Transmountain Pipeline area of Burnaby Mountain, the first challenging uphill climb where I jog, some forethought in this context because my understanding is that the spirit realm can act more quickly via nature than via more complex human interactions and I wanted it to have reasonable reaction time.

My academic thoughts, while jogging were that all of birth and nature is miraculous because humans will never likely be able to create life from scratch. Biology is thaumatology to the extent that we seek to understand its relationship to the source of all creation. Related to this the sun would inherently also be miraculous and the odds of it shining on a Goldilocks Zone orb is probably statistically as infrequent as some of the more uncommon human miracles.

After running through Squint Lake Park, and by the Burnaby Golf Course, I started running up the steep incline of the Transmountain Trail. My iPod, on shuffle, played “Electric Pow Wow” by A Tribe Called Red.

Sitting down on a park bench to stretch my legs part way up the trail I heard a Raven, somewhere on a branch over my right shoulder ‘Kraaing’ loudly.

Trickster

In coastal Native mythology, Raven is the powerful figure who transforms the world. Raven, aka Trickster, sits atop the totem pole erected in protest of the pipeline beside the primary entrance to the Transmountain, nee Kinder Morgan, property. This totem pole sits near the top of the hill up which I was jogging.

At this time Trickster appears to be working his magic by eliminating global markets for the filthy, Earth-threatening, Native killing Alberta tar sand bitumen that the Transmountain pipeline will carry.

As I sat there Raven took off and I watched its black form flicker by beyond the treetops, on the deconstructed Transmountain (TM) side of the fence. It flew downhill and then across the bottom edge of the noisy destruction site before flying up the other side of the property kraaing every now and then. It appeared the be surveying the perimeter.

For the rest of the jog nothing notable happened beyond finding the first couple of ripe blackberries of the year – until jogging by the TM property again, in the other direction, on the way home.

A fairly large, dark, quickly-moving snake, alarmed by my presence, slithered diagonally downhill across my path giving me a good view of its vigorous muscular winding mobility. Coast Salish native lore only speaks of a two-headed snake which symbolizes power, danger, destruction, and something to be feared.

Black Snake

To me its downhill slithering seemed to resemble to the movement of pipeline oil. In retrospect the Natives protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline referred to it as ‘Black Snake’.

As I started to run by the golf course again, across the street from the TM property, something shiny caught my eye and I picked it up precisely at the moment that the lyrics from the iPod sang “…Leave no stone unturned.”

The Light

It was a small shiny 3/8 in. steel ball bearing. I would have ignored it if it wasn’t for the well-known Coast Salish mythology about Raven stealing the light. This, no doubt, comes from the attraction that the big birds have to shiny objects. This shiny ball-bearing reflecting the sun’s light befits the iconography of the story of the Raven, aka Trickster, perfectly.

I set out contemplating mirabilia on my jog and wasn’t disappointed.

How to Make Amazing Things Happen Now

by an Epididactic Lexicologist

The effect of contemplating positive word meanings can be amazing. I’ve regularly contemplated certain positive words, including Law of Attraction related words, in 17 second, and one minute and longer, 2 hour, jogging intervals.

When contemplating words for short timed intervals I try to recall the contemplated word again later throughout the day. One Saturday I enjoyed a non-stop miraculous day ‘in sync’ by thinking about ‘Synchronicity’ non-stop. It included breezing through busy traffic making all the signals and corners and connections with Skytrain and Granville Island Ferry timing in both directions. I had to wait for the inter-urban ferry (on the water on a beautiful spring day) once but it parked with it’s open door right in front of me – as I knew it would. I arrived home precisely in time to have a plate of freshly cooked barbecue, which started being plated before my arrival, placed in front of me as I sat down on our back deck right at the beginning of a pleasant meal with my wife’s visiting sisters.

Hold a single meditative thought

Recently I’ve managed to find ‘Peace‘ consistently but find that it must be a vigilant daily meditative effort for significant periods and for a long time in order for it to become a lasting peace – I’m not there yet but it’s of considerable value being a Universal-Law-based Fruit of the Spirit.

Positive nouns might be the best suited words for personal contemplation but the adverb Freely can be a wonderfully liberating jogging experience. I believe I had been contemplating my go-to jogging thought, Gramercy, (previously ‘Oneness’) on the park bench at the half-way mark in my jog around Burnaby Lake just prior to an experience of rapturous ecstasy.

The most elating jogging experience that I had was running/flying with swallows across a field at Locarno Beach. I made it the subject of a Running Miracles Youtube video. This jog followed a day of preemptive cloud-busting, mentally punching with joyful powerful fists, the rain forest clouds that foreshadowed a downpour for our annual picnic the next day. This was while listening to uplifting rants by Esther Hicks; Law of Attraction enthusiast. The timed short intervals of positive thought are Esther’s concept. When the time came the great cloud-busting feelings of Love and Joy were quick to recall, and amplify, with pumping heart, lungs, arms and legs, as I ran, arms outstretched, in accord with aerobatic swallows, across a field in the final sprint.

One of my most idiosyncratic jogs, inasmuch as it can’t easily be written off as a coincidence, was with regards to the word ‘Argus-eyed’ (vigilant) which was a word chosen arbitrarily as one of my Facebook Positive Words of the Day. It resulted in an encounter with a hypervigilant border collie right at the base of a lookout point.

These miraculous-feeling occasions are related, in terms of the effect, to the powerful Positive Emotions. These are both excellent paths and destinations in terms of what a human could want, enjoy and pursue. They are the power that drives all the other positive wor(l)ds.

The paths are the same but everyone’s trip is a circuit unique to them exploring the many fantastic pathways of true positive words.

How to Get What You Want via Hypnosis

Other than ‘Happiness’, research discloses that ‘How to get what you want via Hypnosis’ is what most readers want to know when it comes to ‘Positive Words‘.

Hypnotism in a Third Person as a Diagnostic Modality

Hypnotic practice is, in itself, morally benign but the intent of the hypnotist is paramount in a human continuum where ‘Intent is Everything’

The decisive factor in hypnosis must always be the benefit of the hypnotized subject. Hypnotist intent can range from healing to crime. The interest for many seeking this information will be somewhere in between the two.  How do sales, or other goal-oriented interactions, for example, honestly factor into this subject benefit imperative?

Evidently the US military industrial complex can even induce hypnotic suggestion into a target subject as an act of war using microwaves.

MICROWAVE HEARING

The first un-classified
successful transmission
of the human voice directly
into the skull of a living
person was performed by
Dr. Joseph C. Sharp, of the
Walter Reed Army Institute
of Research in 1974.

By transforming a hypnotist’s
voice using the Lowery
Silent Sound or Smernov Scramble
methods, used during the Gulf War,
it is possible to hypnotize
a target without the target
being aware, from hiding (sic)
leaving zero trace evidence.

In contrast the efficacy rate is extremely high for hypnotherapy used for addiction/substance abuse issues as well as for treating phobias.  It can also be used for pain relief, peace of mind, and performance enhancement of all kinds bearing in mind that a single session often isn’t enough to produce long term post hypnotic results.  It seems possible that the above military microwave platform could even be used on reluctant subjects for their benefit, and the benefit of others, in all of these positive arenas.  With regards to addiction some aspects of the 12 Step Approach, ex. “My name is John and I’m an alcoholic”, can actually serve to hypnotize the subject in the wrong direction.  In light of the high efficacy rate, and wide-spread benefit, it seems like some form of hypnotherapy for addiction should be absolutely mandatory.

The trick to self-hypnosis, similar to the rants of Abraham Hicks (vis-a-vis the Law of Attraction) is to visualize and feel the enjoyment of already having what you want.

The two best self-hypnotic words to instill ‘Confidence’, a word with a magic all its own, are “Tall” and “Lift”.

Think about, and feel, these words before your next job interview or important meeting.  If you have some privacy, holding your arms above your head in a ‘V’ shape, as if you’ve just won a race, neuro-chemically boosts confidence prior to a meeting as well.

Following are the four most effective hypnotic words to use on others to get what you want. Like hypnosis itself these words are, in themselves, benign.  Care should be taken to ensure that they always benefit the subject.

  1. You – The engagement of all of the interest and ability that you have to offer is critical in the world that you want to create for you and those close to you.
  2. Remember – Remember the halcyon days of your childhood when you were peaceful, carefree and playing happily?
  3. Because –  This is what you want; what you’ve always wanted.  ‘Reason’ ranks very high on the ‘Power vs. Force’ spectrum, but not as high as ‘Compassion’.
  4. Imagine – Imagine the world of your dreams where everyone is eager to help each other.

When you awaken you’ll feel fully refreshed and enjoy nothing but peace, love, joy and appreciation for the rest of your days…

Edgar Cayce Vs. Abraham Hicks – Selflessness Vs. Selfishness

According to Edgar Cayce, ‘Long-suffering’, ‘Patience’ and even ‘Self-sacrifice’ are desirable ‘Fruits of the Spirit’. So is Obedience. These words aren’t in the lexicon of the ‘Law of Attraction’ gospel of Abraham Hicks.

The popular Law of Attraction model states that humans should primarily assist in the development of others via exemplifying a good happy prosperous role model. Relationships with others are often regarded as something that can impede one’s happiness.

The Edgar Cayce model appears to provide more potential interpersonal friction in its selfless service to others.  ‘Selfless Service’ is known as  ‘Seva‘ in eastern philosophies.

Abraham’s outlook appears to be more selfish, less compassionate, and doesn’t sufficiently grasp the Universal Law of One. Certainly practitioners won’t be benefiting from the Universal Law of Grace but is there an additional more rehabilitative aspect to a shortfall of brotherly love?

Compassion and Brotherly Love are also Fruits of the Spirit.

It’s also possible that Abraham doesn’t believe in the Universal Law of Karma, the inverse of the Law of Grace.

The Spiritual Fruit Obedience refers to adherence to the Universal Laws because humans might as well do what will make their journey the easiest and increased altruism is apparently the shorter path to uniting with Unicity.  Greater attunement to the more compassionate Law of One seems an obvious shortcut to Unicity.

According to Edgar Cayce the MOST IMPORTANT rule in the Bible is:

" [37]...Thou shalt
love the lord thy God with all thy heart
and all thy soul, and all thy mind...
[39] And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[40] On these two commandments hang all the law
and the prophets."     - Matt.22 Verses 37-40
In loving only circumstances beneficial to self it befits the adage that someone must have love for themselves before they can give it to others, but reduces the subject’s love to the size of their own body relative to the size the Universe. How much more love is there in the Universe?
Selfishness is 180 degrees opposed to ‘Oneness’ and Oneness is Wisdom.

Moreover, in listening to the Abraham broadcasts, I’ve heard Abraham backtrack on two subjects; a degree of imperfection not found in the Edgar Cayce readings. The entities that comprise Abraham describe themselves as “Infinite Intelligence’ but close examination discloses that they’re decidedly ‘Finite’ and don’t know that “Wisdom” is a synonym of ‘Oneness’.

Nonetheless there are noteworthy benefits to willfully raising one’s vibration to Peace, Happiness, Appreciation and Love even if the extent of the Love doesn’t equal Edgar Cayce’s.

I personally found Peace to be too elusive as an Edgar Cayce Ideal but find contemplating peace/satisfaction the easiest of Abraham’s recommended emotions to achieve for frequent limited periods of time and contemplating all of them seems to make me stand a little straighter.

The Abrahamic approach is in complete accord with my own lexicological findings that the positive emotions are both “the way” and the destination and, significantly, can bolster amour-propre and faith.  A more direct “way”, paradoxically, may be encumbered by more acts of compassion.

There are many positive attributes to Abraham’s teachings, not the least of which is raising one’s vibrations as frequently, and for as long, as possible.  The greater ability and challenge, however, may reside in integrating these vibrations with a solid foundation in helping others.

Great Loves That Cannot Speak Their Name

There are a many large and broadly pervasive love forms all around us for which there are no official English words.  Unlike the following many lovers, for example, have no word for their love.

Aerophile, Ailurophile, Astrophile, Audiophile, Bibliophile, Biophile, Cartophile, Cinephile, Discophile*, Enophile, Ergophile*, Foodophile*, Heliophile, Hippophile, Iconophile*, Jazzophile*, Logophile*, Mycophile,  Musicophile*, Nemophilist, Neophile/NeophiliacOenophile, Orchidophile*, Ornithophile, Pluviophile*, Pogonophile, Retrophile, Thalassophile*, Turophile, Typhlophile*, Videophile*, Xenophile

* words with no official “-philia”‘ counterpart; a practical impossibility

“-philia” Neologisms

Similarly missing are most loves of places there are only about 15 legitimate regional loves (ex. anglophile) even though such feelings have been strongly felt by every indigenous, transplanted and reminiscent person for every region in the world since the beginning of time.

In addition a paraphilia is a psychological focus of erotic interest. Some paraphilias mask or pre-empt the word for the more innocent popular love of the same thing. Examples include the love of helping people with specific disabilities, specific smells, specific animals, children, infants, trees, eating, cars or other machines, poetry, specific toys, the tactile feel of specific things, specific sports, muscles, learning, and sleeping.  Other such known loves (ex. flowers) have been pre-empted by other sciences.

There must be many other great, powerful, and popular ‘Loves’, between retrophilia and eager anticipation, which occupy our minds and permeate our lives while having no official English name.

Positive Word List Describing Men

This is a duplicate copy of the popular Positive Words to Describe Men published on the Systemagic Motives Positive Word Lists website recreated in this blog as a consequence of an unending, and so far incurable, assault by a sophisticated piece of pharm redirect adware.  This is now the fourth website-derived positive list found on this blog including the Sexy Romantic Adjectives which is currently the most popular page because of its own intrinsic motivators.  The mind-boggling Divine Adjectives receive less interest having somewhat more long-term goals.  The Positive Links page can only be found on this blog site as well.

[As I conclude this blog post the 3rd assault by the adware virus is spreading and consequently most of the links here, besides the definitions, have been taken down for now until this problem can be resolved.]

The Nature of Good

The user demographic for this list is primarily female because they’re the ones mostly seeking to compliment men.  A powerful use of this list for men, however, is to copy and print it then marking every word (likely hundreds) that the man, and God, know are absolutely true about himself.  These words remain true even on anyone’s worst day. When that inevitable day comes stating out loud the identified words prephrased by “I Am…” is intensely re-invigorating.  They provide real psychological uplift.  Employers may find this useful, too, in deploying the Jedi Mind Trick of Organizational Behavior.  Moreover, the remarkable importance of these words is elucidated more in my blog post Positive Words – ‘The Way’.

The Way – The Best Things to Go For

The most traffic that Facebook (FB) has ever sent to my Positive Word of the Day FB page came as a result of identifying my positive lexicology work with the following Edgar Cayce quote regarding ‘The Way“:

“There is no way to be pointed out save [except] the ‘I AM’.  It is the birth of the spirit.”                – Edgar Cayce 262-10

This points directly at the Positive Adjectives & Positive Nouns to answer “I am What?”.  The Positive Personal Nouns answer “Who?”.  The Positive Emotions, a path and destination unto themselves, answer “Why?”.  With regards to “When?”,  “Now” usually works best.  I’m inclined to think that the “Where” is “Here” as well as nonlocal.

These amazing positive words come in a lot of  wonderful and vibrant forms that characterize the “Straight and Narrow“.  The evidence supports that Positive Words are indeed the way, or path, or river.  They’re trailblazing tools.

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.”  Psalm 46:4

At least these words can keep humans headed in the right direction.

Use Positive Words.

A Powerful Easy Jedi Mind Trick To Use At Work

I’ve returned to my old Organizational Behavior (Stephen P. Robbins) text book a couple of times now, without success, to try to find the name of the particular study that determined that there’s a  Jedi Mind Trick, with great potential, within every organization that actually works as if by magic.  It’s not ‘Reinforcement Theory’ because it works more like ‘Creation’.

The theory posits that, in three particular areas, an employee can be made to believe in the existence of positive attributes about themselves, and thereafter perform accordingly, even if these attributes weren’t previously objectively true.  Two of these are: 1. Quality of work.  2. Autonomy.

(I can’t remember the 3rd.  If you know it, or the name of the theory/study please get in touch.)

This means that, if a supervisor tells an under-performing employee “I’m glad that I can leave you to work alone and expect a job well done” it will become true thereafter.   This is exactly like the Jedi Mind Trick.

This was, to me, the most interesting part of the course and I’ve  had difficulty understanding why other people don’t appear to share my fascination.  Perhaps it’s because they feel that the mendacity and unwarranted praise aren’t virtuous?  They are.  Supremely so.  This utterly simple enchantment is a powerful positive device for considerable good for all concerned; the employee, the proponent, and the organization.

The active efficacy is likely due to the perceived top-down authority of the supervisor and also holds interesting possibilities for parents, teachers, and even respected peers.

I’m glad that you can work independentlysend the email

The arena of ‘Quality of work’ has an enormity, many thousands, of possibilities via the many positive nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs that can constitute ‘quality’. How many of these words can authority figures make true instantly just by uttering, or writing, them? Each of these words merits further study for their efficacy.
