America’s Reflection

In President Trump, America has gotten what it has served. Two aspects of the well-known Universal Law of Attraction are 1. Like attracts Like and 2. Like begets Like. This is what this corporate/military U.S. government has rightfully attracted and begotten.

Exclusively found on the far right and concordant with facets of the highest military command is a significant component of those who just want to see the world burn. Extreme greed in the military manifests in a disproportionate amount of those rising to the top who are eschatologists and sociopaths because they’re good for funding appropriations.

The nihilism of destruction doesn’t come via predictable models however.

Under the circumstances how much more appropriate could it be for the US overt and covert government communities to find, in their reflection, a dull-witted extreme right wing, profoundly selfish and greedy, mendacious thug working as a Russian asset in the oval office?

It isn’t complicated that greed-motivated world-destroyers in positions of power and influence aren’t a good, smart, or valuable thing. It’s not intelligence if it’s profound mental illness.

More morality need be begotten.

  1. The United States like humanity as a whole is a work in progress. Sometimes it collectively moves forward, sometimes sideways, and sometimes backwards or downwards.
President Eisenhauer at the end of his tenure warned his fellow citizens about the potentially dangerous corruptive power of a military industrial complex. Uncontrolled capitalism won’t look out for the best interests of the world.
Throughout the twentieth century the course of world events put the Untied States into a leading position within world affairs. Technological progress and the better angels of human nature within American society collectively led to a gradual improvement in overall living conditions. It wasn’t however, consistent or fair.
The Untied States paid lip service to the ideals of promoting democracy and personal freedom worldwide. Such ideals were often ignored within international affairs when it benefitted American economic or geopolitical machinations. Nevertheless American ideals served as a standard for the world to aspire to.
Presently exponential change from new technology, geopolitical shifts in power and economics, climate change etc. are challenging everyone. Pre-existing institutions and mindsets aren’t equipped to comprehend and respond fast enough. Many Americans feel left behind and statistics indicate that overall purchasing power has declined since the 1970’s. Wealth growth has gone to the upper classes.
American politics has often been partisan. For many it is now tribal and ideological.
The ethos of individualistic freedom can be at odds with ideals for the collective good. Some identify voting republican as equivalent to identifying as Christian.
Trump has been seen by many of his supporters as a successful confident businessman, but a political outsider- his own man who will disrupt the status quo if he sees fit to do so and also a friend of the common people.
I see him as a self-aggrandizing braggart and a poor statesman for these challenging times. An unfortunate set circumstances and events led the leading European powers to blunder into WW1 during the summer of 1914. I think unfortunate circumstances and events aligned to put Trump in power.
America has lost its way, I don’t look forward to a world where either China or Russia come to control world affairs. I hope American finds its way and sets a better example for the world.

    1. Great comments, Gary. I don’t know if you’ve seen Edgar Cayce’s comments regarding the Anti-Christ and wonder if you can apply them to a statesman who you’re aware of today:

Q – “In what form does the anti-Christ come, spoken of in revelation?” A – “In the spirit of that opposed against the truth. (The fruits of the spirit of the Christ are love, joy, obedience, long-suffering brotherly love, kindness. Against such there is no law.) The spirit of hate, the anti-Christ, is contention, strife, fault-finding, lovers of praise.” – Edgar Cayce 281-16

The POTUS is only opposed to truth in Law, Science, News, Intelligence, and a few other areas that will likely add up to a remarkable 10,000 fabrications in office by May 1st.

      1. The described traits of the anti-Christ characterize the despots of the twentieth century and the present.
The POTUS is what he is.
The issues for the near future are whether or not a significant percentage of those who supported him care about the truth, are willing to change their minds, and can themselves practise brotherly love towards their adversaries.

  2. The 40% who consistently appear to support Trump, no matter what, so far have been the greatest disappointing aspect of this retrograde sojourn. A ‘Psychology Today’ article identifies the motivations of his supporters to range from, most prominently, those who believe they have economically benefited to, as mentioned in the post, “Those who just want to see the world burn.” Some have a longer arc to travel than others for a ‘turnaround’.

In the fullness of time, of course, they’ll all come around because, I believe that, in a reincarnate universe, with Universal Laws predominating, ‘Only Good Lasts’. How much longanimous, even karmic level, patience will be required first though with a large demographic that is so slow that they haven’t figured out after more than two years that this dull witted and ill-intended criminal isn’t who they thought he was? How much more harm will he cause before he’s gone from the helm?

There is a group of “Duty to Warn” psychologist who regard their fiduciary duty as overriding the Goldwater rule that frowns on analysing a sitting president. They warn that the president is extremely dangerous and is going to get worse particularly with the new Democratic Representatives closing the walls in around him.

Trump’s attorneys have also stated that he’s actually mentally incapable of telling the truth under oath on the stand. The president is legally ‘Non-compos-mentis’.

I’m reminded too of Dr. M. Scott Peck’s book ‘People of the Lie’. wherein he characterizes chronic liars as ‘Clinically Evil.’ The only reason that I don’t characterize Donald Trump as ‘Evil’ myself is because Edgar Cayce says that no one is beyond redemption. I suspect, however, that there’s not enough redemption time left for this president to correct himself in this lifetime.

How much more interesting can it get than to have a mad Russian Asset running America?

I’m optimistic that the Mueller report will be so overwhelmingly damning that the GOP Senate will have to impeach him and it will even penetrate the 40% whose egos so far insist that they’ve been right. In time the BIG PICTURE may even dawn on the Intelligence community hierarchy who work towards the military and environmental destruction of mankind.
